What to do when going to Court as a Witness?

1. Take all the information about the case with you, including documents

2. If you need an interpreter, request the Court Clerk, Court Orderly or Prosecutor to make arrangements for one.

3. Be sure you know where the Court is and what time the Court will sit

4. You will have to wait for your turn to give evidence

5. You may go with a friend or relatives to keep you company, look after the child or a disabled person.

6. Witnesses in the High Court Criminal Sessions get their travel expenses, lunch or night allowances where necessary repaid; but accompanying will not have their expenses repaid.
